Bas-Saint-Laurent Model Forest

Bas-Saint-Laurent Model Forest is a nonprofit organization aimed at the development of sustainable forestry practices for the benefit of rural communities. The project has been in business for fifteen years until the rejection of the proposal submitted to Canadian Forest Communities Program forced its closure in September 2007.

This linked site is a legacy of this pioneering project in forestry whose achievements have been many and varied. By providing this archive we hope the lessons learned from our experiences continue to influence forestry practices for several years.

The site contains a wealth of information. We invite you to visit the product section that brings together nearly 300 publications in PDF format.

The small team behind this ambitious adventure is proud to have contributed to the improvement of knowledge in the field of forestry. Special thanks to our partners who have shared our desire to make this project a reality.
