Trial of the Model 1400 Track Bandit Chipper for Row Removal in Softwood Plantations

In eastern Ontario, many softwood plantations require thinning to avoid stagnation and continued growth of the trees. This report investigates whether directional felling followed by in-stand chipping is a viable alternative to the current practice of directional felling followed by partial delimbing and bucking.
